The Serbian national basketball team is beginning preparations for its first training camp after the recently concluded Olympic Games in Paris. Head coach Svetislav Pešić has invited Miloš Isakov-Kovačević, the coach of the Vojvodina basketball club, to join the national team’s coaching staff.

Ahead of the EuroBasket 2025 qualification training camp, the Serbian basketball team’s coaching staff is exploring updates to the roster. Miloš Isakov-Kovačević already has experience working with national teams. In 2019, he served as an assistant coach for Serbia’s U18 team at the European Championship. In 2022, he held the position of head coach for Serbia’s U15 team. He also worked with the senior national team in February 2022 as a scout.

The promising coach began working with the Vojvodina basketball club in 2020 and was appointed head coach in 2022. During the 2023–2024 season, the team competed for promotion to the first division of the ABA League but lost to Spartak from Subotica. This year, the team from Novi Sad is considered a favorite in the championship race.

Last year, the coaching staff of Serbia’s national basketball team included Svetislav Pešić, Oliver Kostić, Saša Kosović, Marko Marinović, Ognjen Stojaković, and Nenad Jakovljević.
