A large-scale tournament, Power Slap 11, has concluded in Saudi Arabia — one of the most unusual projects from legendary promoter Dana White. The main event of the evening featured a rematch between the heavyweight title holder Lane Vierne and the Russian sensation Vasily Kamotsky, known as “Pelmen.” The first bout between these fighters three months ago ended in a controversial draw, sparking outrage among both Vasily himself and the league management. Despite the judges deducting points from Vierne for numerous rule violations, the belt remained with the Hawaiian champion. However, league president Dana White acknowledged the validity of the Russian’s complaints and organized a rematch as part of Power Slap 11.
This time, the fight took place in a tense atmosphere. Lane Vierne, having won the draw, started the first round. His powerful slap dislodged Vasily’s earplugs, but the Russian fighter not only endured it but also countered with a blow that seriously shook the champion. The second round demonstrated Pelmen’s advantage: Vierne’s slaps grew weaker, while Vasily maintained full focus, deflecting them with his trademark confidence. The third and fourth rounds were decisive. Vierne continued to violate the rules, prompting the judges to grant Vasily additional recovery time. The final fifth round ultimately turned the tide of the battle: a powerful slap from Kamotsky sent the champion into a knockdown, after which he barely managed to get back up.
At the conclusion of all five rounds, the judges unanimously awarded the victory to Vasily Kamotsky. He admitted that this victory marked the culmination of his career in the world of slaps and declared that he now considers himself the strongest person on the planet in this sport.
