The 30-year-old Serbian center for the Denver Nuggets, Nikola Jokic, continues to write a new chapter in the history of the National Basketball Association. In the game against the Phoenix Suns, which ended with his team’s victory with a score of 149:141 in overtime, the star of the Nuggets not only brought success to his team but also set a unique league record.

Jokic became the first player in NBA history to achieve a triple-double with stats of 30+ points, 20+ rebounds, and 20+ assists. During the match, he scored 31 points, grabbed 21 rebounds, and dished out 22 assists, adding to this incredible stat line one steal with only two turnovers. Such a performance deservedly earned recognition from both fans and teammates.

The head coach of the Denver Nuggets, Mike Malone, personally acknowledged the outstanding achievement of his leader by presenting him with a special gift — the ball with which Jokic achieved his historic triple-double. This moment became a symbolic acknowledgment of the talent and work ethic of the Serbian center.

Moreover, after this game, Jokic tied the legendary Oscar Robertson in the number of games with stats of 15+ points, 15+ rebounds, and 15+ assists.
