The fight between blogger Jake Paul and legendary boxer Saul “Canelo” Alvarez will take place on May 3, 2025, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, as reported by ESPN. The bout will be contested in the cruiserweight division (up to 200 pounds) and will be streamed on Netflix.

The 28-year-old Jake Paul is one of the brightest stars of social media, with over 20 million subscribers on YouTube. Over the past few years, he has successfully transitioned into professional boxing and currently holds a record of 11 wins and 1 loss. As we previously reported in our publication Holiverse Arena, his fight against Mike Tyson in November 2024 attracted a record-breaking 108 million concurrent viewers on the Netflix platform, becoming the most-watched sporting event in streaming history.

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is the undisputed world champion in the super middleweight division (WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO) and one of the greatest boxers of our time. His record stands at 62 wins, 2 losses, and 2 draws.

This fight will be the first major test for Jake Paul, who has yet to face elite-level boxers. For Canelo, it will be an experimental move, as he steps up to a new weight class for himself.

The cancellation of the fight with Terence Crawford, which this bout was organized instead of, could become a landmark moment in the careers of both athletes, bridging traditional professional boxing and the world of digital celebrities.
