After their victory against Crvena Zvezda, Partizan Mozzart Bet embarked on an impressive winning streak. On December 3, the team clinched their third consecutive win, defeating Lithuanian Zalgiris Kaunas. Despite Lithuania’s exceptional basketball legacy rooted in its Soviet past, it didn’t prove enough in yesterday’s game. Serbian team Partizan dominated the scoreboard for most of the match, briefly losing their lead in the third quarter. However, the black-and-whites managed to regroup and closed the game with a score of 84:78.

Yesterday’s game featured not only the dynamic duo of Jones & Jones but also appearances from Frank Ntilikina, Sterling Brown, and Duane Washington.

Brandon Davies, however, had a short game. During a clash, former Partizan player Alen Smailagic unintentionally struck Davies on the nose, forcing him to leave the game.

Despite the stellar performance of Lithuanian sharpshooter Lonnie Walker, who was the game’s top scorer with 26 points, Partizan maintained their advantage through solid team play until halftime. After the break, the visitors adjusted their tactics, hit several long-range shots, and briefly took the lead, but couldn’t hold on.

Zalgiris couldn’t withstand Partizan’s final push in the fourth quarter. The Belgrade team won the final quarter 20:14. The home team’s top scorer was Carlik Jones with 19 points, while Tyrique Jones contributed 15 points, grabbed 9 rebounds, and blocked 3 shots.

Following their triumph over Zalgiris, Partizan’s players will face reigning European champions Panathinaikos in the 14th round of the EuroLeague on Thursday.
