In a recent interview with ESPN, Stephen Curry was asked if he was considering retiring from professional basketball. The 36-year-old superstar admitted that the thought has crossed his mind, but he has no plans to leave the sport anytime soon. Despite rumors about his future, Curry’s performance in the December 25 matchup between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers demonstrated that he remains in peak form.
The NBA Christmas Day game delivered everything fans could hope for: intensity, skill, and an electrifying duel between Curry and LeBron James. The Lakers edged out the Warriors 115-113, thanks to a game-winning drive by Austin Reaves in the final seconds.
Curry was spectacular, scoring 38 points and showcasing his signature brilliance with a series of difficult shots, including a clutch three-pointer with just 6.3 seconds remaining to tie the game. His leadership and poise nearly forced overtime, but Reaves sealed the deal for the Lakers with an ice-cold finish.
