Serbian team Liman ran out of luck – a referee’s decision and a subsequent free throw proved fatal for the team

The first day of the Wuxi Masters 2024 in China has concluded. The tournament has brought together almost the entire top 10 from the FIBA 3×3 World Ranking. Three Serbian teams took to the court: Ub Huishan, Partizan Meta Force, and Liman. Dr. Strange’s team (Ub Huishan) cruised through the first stage with ease, advancing to the quarterfinals, while Partizan Meta Force and Liman faced some tense moments.

However, it was Partizan Meta Force that made the biggest statement with a loud victory over the tournament hosts, who had captured the attention of the entire basketball world today. The star power, strength, and charisma of DeMarcus Boogie Cousins led his team forward, dominating the court. Yet, in speed and decision-making, the players of Partizan Meta Force proved superior.

Liman came close to defeat twice, but Stefan Kojic saved the day with his bold and accurate long-range shots.

In addition to the Serbian teams, Wuxi WenLv (with Boogie), Riffa, Vienna, and Amsterdam also secured their spots in the Wuxi Masters quarterfinals. According to the schedule, tomorrow’s quarterfinals will kick off with Partizan Meta Force facing Ub Huishan, followed by Riffa versus Vienna, Liman versus Amsterdam, and closing with Wuxi WenLv against Princeton.
